About Lady Luck Jewellery
Claire Vize has been designing & making jewellery for several years, and has trained in Fine Art & Design with a strong focus on Ceramic and Structural Design. Lady Luck Jewellery was formed in 2007.
Claire finds inspiration from many areas, including 1950's and 60's American culture, striking colour combinations and natural colours & shapes. All jewellery sold under the name of 'Lady Luck Jewellery' is handmade by Claire in her Northamptonshire home studio.
The beads used in her work are sourced from all over the world, including selected lampwork beads sourced directly from the bead makers themselves. Claire also makes her own polymer clay beads and pendants, which are used in many of her collection pieces. Vintage pieces of jewellery are occasinally re-worked to produce a modern take on an old design. All metal findings (e.g. chain, ear wires, clasps etc.) are silver plated unless otherwise stated. All silver plated materials comply with the EU Nickel Regulations and are sourced in the UK from reputable suppliers. No so called 'tibetan silver' or silver coloured base metal is used.
Commission work is welcomed, Claire can help you to design an item of jewellery for a special occasion or just for a treat. You can choose the colours, beads and style of your jewellery, and it will be made up for you. Prices for commissions vary depending on the materials and design but generally start at only 10% above the standard prices of ready to wear jewellery.
Claire has a strong commitment to ethical values and reducing landfill waste. If you buy a piece of Lady Luck Jewellery, and find in time you do not wear the piece as often as you did, Claire will be happy to re-work the beads into a new design for you at a very modest charge.
Claire is also a member of SRAJD - Self Representing Artists - Jewellery Designers, the Guild of Jewellery Designers and the British Polymer Clay Guild.

In addition to jewellery making, Claire is also one half of the 'Brain Shaker' drag racing team and can regularly be found racing her car on the track!
