About the Designer
Claire Vize has been designing & making jewellery for several years, and trained in Fine Art & Design at the East Warwickshire College, with a strong focus on Ceramics and Structural Design. Lady Luck Jewellery was formed in 2007 in response to a gap in the market for individual designer jewellery at affordable prices.
If you get fed up with walking down the street and seeing someone else wearing the same thing then rest assured, all designs by Claire at Lady Luck Jewellery are one-offs and will never be repeated.
Claire finds inspiration from many areas, including 1950's and 60's American culture, striking colour combinations and natural colours & shapes.
The beads and findings used in her work are sourced from all over the world, and vintage pieces of jewellery are often re-worked to produce a modern take on an old design.
Claire is a member of the British Polymer Clay Guild and makes a wide range of polymer clay designs, perfect for people who want a statement piece of jewellery with an unusual twist.
Commission work can be undertaken, Claire can help you to design an item of jewellery for a special occasion or just for a treat. You can choose the colours, beads and style of your jewellery, and it will be made up for you. Prices for commissions vary depending on the materials required but generally start at around 10% above the standard prices of ready to wear jewellery.
Claire is a contributing member of SRAJD - Self Representing Artists - Jewellery Designers. This organisation works to promote awareness of handcrafted artisan jewellery. If you see the SRAJD logo you can be certain that you are buying directly from the person who has made the jewellery.
